I don't understand the "avoit fire" slider.
Doesn't it train the bots to stay away from the enemy or take cover?
if it does, than how do I make them attack?
do I need to combine it with "hit target"?
after all I want them to attack but still avoid getting hit to much.
does a punishment for not getting hit make any sense? |

If you set the avoid fire slider to the positive, the fitness of an agent will decrease if they are hit with enemy fire, so they will evolve to avoid fire if they can. If you set it to the negative, they will get rewarded for getting hit. _________________ Igor Karpov

I wonder if it's possible to train alternative AIs and then "mix" them on a particular team. If so, then you can make "tank" bots to soak up the damage and screen out the "flag runner" AIs that are mixed on the team.
Of course, I'm speaking this before installing or testing the game, so I may just be spouting smoke. ;2) |
