This is th official league thread. All rules, the table, and the results will be posted here.

> NERO LEAGUE RULES
>
> A person can only enter one team in a league and must use the same team throughout. This team may not be trained between matches.
>
> Players play each other, battling their submitted teams and then submit their results to officials by email. These submitted results will then be updated on the site.
>
> The competition takes a league style with points for a victory, tie and loss as follows:
>
> >Victory - 5 pts
> >Tie - 3 pts
> >Loss - 1 pt
>
> At the end of the month the league will end with the person on the most points being declared the victor.
>
> A team can only play another team a maximum of three times (the first three results submitted for that team are counted, others are disregarded.)
> Teams can play each other on any of a number of standard tournament maps, listed below, with map and colours chosen by the players concerned. Other features of the battle must conform with the standards listed below.

> >Bunker
> >Shadow Grove
> >Mountain Pass
>
> Numbers
> >20 per team
>
> Time Limit
> >5 mins
>
> Flag
> >Yes
>
> Submitted results should come with a note as to the map played on, colour that each team played, and survivors for each team. These will be for statistical purposes and analysis, and will be reported on the site, but not factored into scoring.
>
>
> Appendix
>
> Ties in Points
> In the event of a tie on points at the end of the month, the team with the fewest matches plaed is the victor. If this is still a tie, then the most kills in matches (totalled) wins. If this is still a tie, then the number of survivors will be taken into account. If this is still a tie, then a sudden death match will take place between the two teams. This is replayed until a victor is determined. This match, should it occur, must take place on a random map, with random colours, observed and arbitrated by an official.
>
> Cheating
> Cheating including but not limited to the use of exploits, preprogrammed bots, use of packaged teams, submission cheating, collusion with other players, training between matches and the use of anabolic steroids on your bots are all criteria for expulsion from the league. An expelled player's submitted results are rescinded and those matches count for no purposes, including but not limited to point scoring, tie breaking and statistics.
> Appeals may be made but are at the discretion of the organisers. A list of known exploits will be posted.
>
> The League Table
> During the league, a league table will be maintained so that players can check their positions. This table will note number of matches played, won, tied and lost, and will note number of kills and number of survivors, as well as the points accumulated by each team. The teams will be ranked according to points scored, then fewest matches, then most kills, then most survivors, then alphabetically.
>
> Challenging Results
> Any submitted result can (theorectically) be challenged by the other player if they believe lies or other submission cheating has occurred. A challenged result may be replayed on official discretion (and possibly under official observation). Note that repeated challenges may be seen as frivolous, or at worst cheating.

I have an additional rule that needs to be in there:

A "Match" should be defined as two games, with the players switching colors for each game. This ensures a fair game.

Is it possible to have more than one representative team to enter into the league challenges? I'm sure we're all training more than one team, and just being limited to just one team entry may be too limiting.

Perhaps if there's a set limit to a league competitions, then announcing 'open entries' for the next tournament would be a balancing factor.

Just a couple thoughts here.

Come on, people! Post your results!

Danek: Just the one for now. it's not going to be long, plus we may implement a division method in the future which will allow you to enter more teams.

Jon: If you like, you can submit two results, one for each side. But having to play two matches means that you're... well... having to play two matches. If this becomes a problem, we may change it. But, at present, as long as you can agree with your opponent there should be no problems.

Post! Post now, or smiting may have to happen!

As long as the forum is empty, I have very little reason to post here, but for a completely neutral fight, without ties, a match would 2 games (or another even number) on the chosen map (players switching between blue and red to ensure fairness), and a final round in the Virtual Sandbox, to be sure that the odd battle is neutral towards each side.
