Resources
Contents
The goal of this page is to contain many of the procedures, tricks and how-to's that new students need to do when arriving to the department.
A good starting point
Jean-Philippe Martin has compiled some helpful resources for UTCS grad students. Some of these may be obsolete but other are quite helpful. (
We need some volunteers to expand on JP's work and include it in this page if necessary.)
Getting Started At UT This page has a few pieces of advice about how you can make your UT computer environment more pleasant. Basically, things that should be there by default but are not (yet).

If you are a new graduate student in the department, feel free to send an email to gracs@cs.utexas.edu if you have any question or need any help.
